The Hearst Student Leadership Team plans and executes Community Service Projects, Spirit Days and fundraisers benefiting the school community. The team also participates on an “as needed” basis for other projects around the school. The purpose of the team is to provide leadership experience for those students on the team.
The student leadership team is made up of representatives from each of the fourth and fifth grade classrooms. Students apply by turning in a letter explaining why they want to be on the student leadership team and how they would participate. Representatives are chosen by a review committee.
Members of the team participate for one trimester. This allows more students to have the opportunity.
